Heard my neighbor say 'breakfast is a scam, just skip it' and I cant stop thinking about it

My neighbor Dave was ranting about how breakfast is just marketing from cereal companies and we should all just do one meal a day. He says he saves $40 a week and feels better. But my mom always told me breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Has anyone actually tried skipping breakfast long term and noticed a difference in how they feel?

Call your mom and tell her the breakfast myth has been debunked for years lol. Ive been doing one meal a day for like 8 months now and honestly I have way more energy than when I was forcing down eggs and toast at 7am. Your body doesnt need fuel that early unless youre a farmer or something. Most people just eat breakfast out of habit and because cereal companies spent billions convincing everyone its mandatory. Dave is right about the savings too - skipping breakfast saves me like $50 a month easy and I dont even miss it. The first week sucks with the hunger pangs but after that your body just adjusts and you stop feeling hungry in the morning altogether.

Oh man @xenagarcia you beat me to the punch on this one! Something nobody's talking about is how skipping breakfast actually helped reset my sleep schedule. I used to wake up groggy and reach for food immediately but now my body just naturally wakes up without that food fog. Plus my dentist told me my teeth are way healthier because theres no food residue sitting in my mouth for hours after brushing in the morning. I had to stop lying to myself about needing breakfast for brain power when coffee does the exact same thing for me lol.

Mornings are rough enough without food, @julia_carter70. I just eat when hungry and feel fine.
