Caught myself cringing at a friend's shiny new driveway.
I mean, who cares if it's practical as long as they like it?

Just let people enjoy things.

I see this all the time in fan communities. Someone will post excitement over a new season of a show, and five replies are just listing reasons why it's bad. That constant need to yuck someone's yum serves no real purpose. If a hobby or show brings someone joy and hurts nobody, the decent move is to just scroll on by. It costs nothing to let people have their harmless fun.

Right? It's just a driveway. That cringe feeling is so automatic sometimes. Like when my cousin was over the moon about her new neon pink toaster. My first thought was "wow, that's bright," but she loves it, so who cares? Totally agree with @phoenix_clark3. Letting people have their simple joy makes everything nicer. The world needs more of that.
