Showerthought: The Denver airport murals made me rethink the 'new world order' thing
I was there last month for a layover and finally saw those weird murals everyone talks about. The one with the dead kids and the soldier holding a sword just felt off, like a bad dream. I used to think it was all silly art, but standing under that blue horse statue, the whole place gave me a weird vibe. Has anyone else been there and felt the same way about the art?

Ever notice how a lot of public art and buildings feel weirdly cold now? Like those new glass box apartments or the empty plaza by the city hall. It's not just the airport. Feels like we traded things that made a place feel human for stuff that looks good in a brochure but gives you that same off feeling. Makes you wonder if the vibe is the whole point.

That art is meant to be unsettling on purpose. It tells a story about peace and war, not a secret plan. Sometimes a weird vibe is just the artist doing their job well.
