The rush to use drones underwater is MAKING us lazy divers
I've seen too many jobs where the dive team just watches screens instead of getting wet. It's a SLIPPERY slope that weakens our core skills, and last month a botched inspection proved it.

How did the drone use lead to that failed inspection? Was it a tech glitch or did the team misread the video? I've seen guys forget basic checks because they trust the gear too much. Losing touch with the water makes you slow to react when things go wrong. Are we training new divers on screens instead of real dives? It feels like we're trading safety for speed, and that's a dangerous swap.

I learned the hard way that drones can't replace getting wet for spotting corrosion.

Actually, I was all for drones making inspections easier... thought they were a game-changer. But after watching a team gloss over cracks on video... it showed how easy it is to get lazy with tech. Now I see Charlie's point... losing that dive time might cost us more than we save.
