TIL a trick for getting my kids into comics that actually clicked

My seven year old kept getting overwhelmed by the dense text in my old X-Men books, so I grabbed a copy of 'Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur' from the library last Tuesday. I just read the dialogue bubbles out loud and let her follow the art, and she was hooked for a full hour. What's a good all-ages comic you've used as a gateway for someone?

Wow, I always thought you had to start with the classic superhero stuff... but letting them just enjoy the pictures while you read is genius. My nephew got into "Bone" that exact same way.

Honestly, superhero stuff can totally scare them off first.
