My uncle told me to stop buying pre-ground and just get a cheap grinder

He said it would change my morning coffee, and I finally listened after a year. I got a $30 hand grinder from a shop in Portland and tried it this week. The difference is crazy, like I'm tasting fruit notes I never knew were there. Anyone else have a simple tip that made a big change like this?

Grinders are overrated if you ask me. My drip machine with pre-ground from the grocery store makes a perfectly fine cup every morning. All that extra work just isn't worth the time for a weekday.

Fresh beans were my game changer, it's wild how much flavor gets lost after grinding. What kind of beans are you using now?

What about water? My tap water is awful for coffee. Switched to filtered and it was like a whole new drink. The clarity is just so much better.
