My coffee scale hit 5000 uses and I had a small crisis
I was cleaning my gear last night and saw the counter on my Acaia scale. It read 5000 uses exactly. That means I've made coffee 5000 times with this thing since I got it 3 years ago. I sat there doing the math and realized that's like 4 or 5 cups a day, every single day. Has anyone else had a moment where a number made you see your coffee habit in a whole new light?

Check your math on that daily average. Five thousand uses over three years is actually closer to four and a half cups a day, not five. It's still a lot, but the exact number changes the picture a little.

Ever wonder if you'd even notice if that number was way off?

Started tracking mine on a note app after noticing my own estimates were always off by a lot. Turned out I was drinking closer to three cups a day instead of the five I thought. Put a small jar on the counter and dropped a coin in every time I had a cup. Did it for two weeks and got a real number. The only way to know for sure is to actually count for a little while.
