Honestly, that "universal" tool holder story hits home. I had the same thing happen with a cheap collet chuck that vibrated like crazy. It's so frustrating when you waste good material on junk tools.

Oh man, tell me about it! I bought one of those "precision" chucks from a bargain site and the runout was just awful. You watch a perfect piece of stock turn into scrap in seconds, and it just makes you want to scream. It's a hard lesson that sometimes the cheap stuff costs you more in wasted time and material.
