Our solar battery backup in Flagstaff gave out during the last snowstorm...
The whole system went dark for about 14 hours when the grid went down. Turns out the battery management software had a bug that kept it from kicking in automatically. We had to manually reset the whole inverter, which was a real pain in the cold. Has anyone else with a SunVault setup run into this kind of software glitch?

My buddy in Prescott had the same bug with his SunVault last year. He said the update they pushed in November was supposed to fix it for good.

Sounds like a hassle but at least you got it working. Could have been worse without any backup at all.

Maybe the software did its job by not starting up in risky conditions. Could have saved the whole system from a bigger failure.
