Went to a new 'farm to table' spot in Portland and the menu had me laughing

Honestly, I was checking out this new place called The Verdant Plate with my crew after a job. Their special was 'deconstructed heirloom carrot medley with foraged soil crumble and crystallized dew'. Tbh, it was literally three carrot sticks, some dirt-looking crumbs, and a few drops of water on a huge plate for $28. The server said it with a straight face too. Has anyone else seen a menu description that was just way too fancy for what you actually got?

Gotta say, that actually sounds kind of cool. The whole point is the experience and the story, not just the food.

The whole point" feels like a stretch. It's just a meal, not a life changing event. People take this stuff way too seriously.

But is the story worth the price?
