Blew $200 on fancy kitchen shears that barely cut through chicken bones after 3 months

Turns out my old $12 pair from the hardware store actually outlasted them and I should have just stuck with that, anyone else fall for expensive gear that didn't hold up?

My buddy Mark dropped $180 on some "pro-grade" kitchen shears with a ceramic coating. After 6 months the hinge got all loose and the coating started flaking off into his food. He went back to his old dented ones from the dollar store and says they're still going strong 3 years later.

Man that sucks, nothing worse than paying good money for something that craps out on you. I swear sometimes the cheap stuff just has better luck with the simplest design lol.
