Power stretcher settings made me eat my words
I always thought tighter was better on the power stretcher till I did a 12x15 room in Phoenix last month and ended up with ripples by the door. Turns out I needed to back off 2 notches to let the carpet settle naturally. Has anyone else had this happen with direct glue down jobs?

And yeah, backing off a couple notches is key on glue down, the carpet needs that tiny bit of give to stretch out evenly otherwise you're just fighting it the whole time.
