Pro tip: check your miter saw blade before any big cut

I was trimming out a window yesterday and found out my 60 tooth blade was actually 40 tooth after buying it 2 months ago at the hardware store. The box was swapped, cost me 3 hours of recutting for a crown molding job, has anyone else had mislabeled blades cause issues?

Kinda sounds like user error for not checking it sooner.

Yeah I used to be all about "just read the manual" but this actually shifted my thinking @the_angela. A lot of times products have weird little quirks or updates that aren't obvious unless you're looking for them specifically. My partner runs a small shop and they had a similar issue with a delivery window time slot that changed without any clear notice and it wasn't until another customer mentioned it that anyone figured it out. It's easy to blame the person but sometimes the system really does screw up in a way that's hard to catch.

Wait, is the manual actually updated regularly for stuff like that though? I've had a couple times where I read the manual and the product behaved totally different because of a firmware update they never documented.
