Spent $400 on a career coach and got told to change industries entirely
On one hand the push made me pivot to a field I actually enjoy now, but on the other hand I feel like I wasted months of effort and cash on someone who just wanted a quick win for their success rate - has anyone else paid big for coaching and come out either grateful or bitter about it?

Like that's the thing with career coaches, they wanna show results fast so they just tell u to start fresh somewhere else. Feels more about their numbers than your actual situation sometimes.

My friend went to a coach who told her to quit her job and move cities. Six months later she was broke and lonely, wishing she'd just fixed things where she was. They collect their fee either way.
