Paid $200 for a reputation audit before a job hunt
Found an old tweet from 2012 that was a bad joke. The service flagged it. Deleted it before any recruiter could see. Worth every penny. Anyone else use one of these services before applying somewhere?

Paying someone to find a bad joke from over a decade ago seems a bit much. Most recruiters are looking at your recent work and skills, not digging through ancient tweets. If you're that worried, you can just search your own name and clean up the first page of results yourself for free. Spending that cash on a good resume review probably helps more.

My cousin lost a city government job offer last year because of a dumb political meme he shared in 2015. The hiring manager brought it up in the final interview. So yeah, I get the paranoia. For two hundred bucks, the peace of mind knowing some algorithm didn't miss your old cringe phase is pretty solid. I'd probably find a way to spend that money on takeout anyway, so this is at least productive.
