Paid $800 for a quick return to work program that was a total scam

I shelled out $800 to a 'vocational rehab specialist' in Bakersfield who promised to get me back to work in 6 weeks after my shoulder injury, but all I got was a generic spreadsheet and two canned phone calls. Has anyone else been burned by these expensive return to work programs in California?

800 bucks is brutal, man. That stings. What exactly was in that generic spreadsheet? Like was it just a list of job boards and tips you could have found on YouTube in ten minutes? I had a buddy in Fresno pay a similar amount to a guy in a strip mall office who basically just handed him a printed map of the bus routes to temp agencies. I'm trying to figure out if these programs are all the same low effort stuff or if yours had anything unique that was supposed to make it worth the money.

@sean_johnson16 Did they promise you actual job leads or just "strategy" that never panned out?
