PSA: Check those ground blocks after a storm, not just the tap
Did a service call in Tacoma yesterday, customer said no signal on half the channels. Inside wiring checked out fine, modem was good. Went outside and the ground block was corroded to hell, water got in behind the seal. Swapped it out in 10 minutes but the old one was maybe 3 years old. I used to skip inspecting them if the drop looked okay, now I pop the cover every time. Anyone else seen these fail faster in wet climates or am I just unlucky with this batch?
