Appreciation post: A client's kitchen in Denver made me rethink my whole drawer system

They had these old, smooth gliding drawers I'd never seen before, and after taking one apart I started using full extension undermounts on everything. Anyone else have a simple change that just clicked after seeing it in a real house?

Sounds like @vera_murphy knows her old drawer slides.

Aren't those just old Accuride slides?

Yeah, they look like the 3832 model from the late 90s. I had a whole kitchen full of them start to fail last year. The plastic release tabs get brittle and snap off, so the drawer won't stay shut. You can sometimes find the repair kits online, but it's often easier to just replace them with a new set of slides.
