That $40 Amazon tape gun that fell apart after 3 boxes of cardboard

I was wrapping up a move out of my old shop in Spokane (packing up 15 years of chainsaw parts and ropes, ugh) and thought I'd treat myself to a nicer tape gun instead of the free ones. Ordered one off Amazon for $40, figured it would last. First box went fine. Second box the roller jammed. Third box the whole handle snapped off. Ended up using the tape by hand for the rest. The free Uline tape gun I got from a supply order 5 years ago is still kicking. Has anyone else had this happen with the Amazon brand tools or am I just cursed with bad luck on this stuff?

Oh man I used to think Amazon tools were fine but that tape gun is absolute garbage.

Yeah that tape gun is a total joke. Had the same problem.
