Spotted a stranger's journal where they did a weekly spread without any habit trackers

I was waiting for coffee yesterday and saw this person's bullet journal open on the table, they had a full weekly layout with just tasks and events, zero habit trackers or mood logs. It got me thinking, are trackers actually helpful or do they just add clutter for the sake of filling space? What's your take, do you rely on habit trackers or keep it stripped down like that?

And @alice_kim nailed it, the guilt is the only thing trackers are good for honestly.

Honestly those weekly trackers are the only thing that keep me honest about drinking water and exercise, otherwise I'd just pretend I did them lmao. Without the visual reminder staring at me every day, those habits would completely disappear within a week.

Same but my tracker just guilt-trips me (and I still ignore it).
