I finally got why people use different mortar for summer jobs
Talked to a mason named Pete at the supply yard on Route 12 last week. He said hot weather sets Portland cement way too fast and you end up with weak joints. That stuck with me because I lost a patio job last August to cracking. He told me to try Type N with lime instead. Has anyone else switched based on season?
