TIL my gas station snacks were quietly wrecking my savings goal
I used to think grabbing a bag of chips with gas was no big deal money wise. Then I looked at my bank statement and saw how often it happened. My buddy mentioned his own wake up call with similar small buys. So I tried a week without any extra stops, just using what I had at home. That simple switch saved me twenty bucks in seven days. Now I see those little purchases as money for my new guitar fund instead. It feels good to turn a blind spot into a clear win.

Feel that so hard. Honestly did the same math with my iced coffee stops last month and it was kinda scary. Tbh seeing it go toward something fun like your guitar makes skipping the snack so much easier. I'm doing the same thing for concert tickets now.

Wait, that math doesn't exactly add up for me. Concert tickets are a big chunk at once, not a bunch of small daily things like coffee. I saved for my guitar by skipping like three months of snack runs, but a ticket fund needs a bigger plan, like maybe a no-restaurant week.

Did the same with coffee runs for a month for my tickets.
