I finally shelled out $95 for a Priority Pass lounge deal and it saved me twice in one trip to Denver
I fly maybe 4 times a year so I always talked myself out of any airport lounge thing. But last trip to Denver in March I grabbed one of those $95 lounge membership promos after a 5 hour weather delay in Dallas left me sleeping on the floor next to an outlet. The math worked out way better than I expected. Two visits on that same trip, one in Dallas and one coming home, and I ate real food plus charged everything for free instead of dropping $22 on a sad sandwich and $9 on a bottle of water. I also want to be fair though, because the Denver lounge was packed with a line out the door and honestly not worth much on a busy morning. But the delay situation is where it paid off, since I had a quiet seat and wifi while everyone fought over the one working outlet near gate C12. I'm not sold on keeping it for a slow travel year, so has anyone done the math on when these memberships actually stop being worth it?
Guess saving $31 on a sandwich doesn't really make it a win when you paid $95 and still had to wait in line for a seat. Sounds like you just bought a slightly nicer floor to sleep on.
