The real panic move is when you pack three raincoats for Lisbon in July. You end up wearing the same two shirts on a loop while that extra luggage fee stares at you from your credit card bill.

Okay but panic packing is a real thing, it's just not the same as budget packing. Panic is throwing three raincoats in because you forgot to check the weather. Budget is rolling your clothes to fit more in a carry on to avoid a checked bag fee. They can feel similar when you're rushing, but the goal is totally different.

My last trip I rolled everything and still saved fifty bucks on baggage fees.
