Rant: A customer told me I priced my furniture too low and it hurt
I sell refinished dressers on Facebook Marketplace in Austin and this lady messaged me saying my $70 price tag made it look cheap and untrustworthy. She said she'd pay $150 for the same piece at a vintage store because the higher price felt like better quality. Has anyone else had buyers tell them their budget-friendly prices actually scare people off?

Yeah pricing low can feel sketchy to some people.

Man you're right on the money there @loganl22. I bought a used power washer off this guy once for like thirty bucks and it looked clean and worked fine but I spent the whole week waiting for it to break because I just couldn't trust the price. There's something about paying way less than everyone else that just sets off alarm bells in your head... like what are they hiding. I've passed on good deals before just because the price seemed too low to be real. It's almost worse than pricing too high honestly because at least with high prices you know what you're getting into.
