That Tuesday when my car broke down on the freeway at 7 AM was the worst day I've had in 5 years
I was stuck on the shoulder of I-95 in Philly for 3 hours with no cell service and a tow truck that cost me $280, and then I found out the alternator was fried and the mechanic said it would take 4 days to fix - has anyone else hit a string of bad luck that just kept piling on?

Wait, does bad luck come in waves or is it just me? Man, that Tuesday sounds like a total nightmare and I'm not even joking. I once had a day where I spilled coffee on my lap, locked my keys in the car, and then tripped over a curb all inside of 20 minutes. Felt like the universe was playing a prank on me, but your story makes mine look like a vacation. That alternator thing is brutal too because it's never just one thing, it's like the car decided to take a week off just to spite you. Did the mechanic at least give you a loaner or were you stuck borrowing a friend's beater?
