Honestly, fixing a leak under my kitchen sink in Atlanta took 3 days, not 3 hours.

I thought it was a simple washer swap, but the whole shutoff valve was corroded and the pipe threads were stripped. Had to go to three different hardware stores to find the right part after the first two were wrong. Has anyone else had a basic home repair blow up into a whole weekend project?

Seriously? Three days for a leak? That seems like a lot. Couldn't you just tighten it up with some pipe tape and call it good for now? Sometimes you gotta just make it work.

Oh man, that sounds way too familiar lol. I tried to replace a bathroom faucet last month and the whole sink basin cracked when I was taking the old one off. What was supposed to be a quick thing turned into a whole new sink install and a huge mess. It's never just the one part that's broken.

Ugh, that reminds me of when my toilet seat hinge snapped and took a chunk of the porcelain with it.
