I said no to a 3rd shift at Target and 9 people stopped talking to me
So my manager asked me to cover a 3rd shift last Friday at the Target on Broad Street. I said no because I'd already worked 5 shifts that week and my body was done. Within 2 days, 9 coworkers who I thought were cool just stopped texting me back and one guy said I "screwed the team." It blew my mind how fast a simple no turned into me being the bad guy at work. Has anyone else said no to something small and watched people treat you totally different after?
Tbh that's wild for one shift. Nine people ain't your friends, they're just mad they gotta cover for you now. Saying no when your body's done is not screwing anyone over.
