Bone folders seemed useless, but one project proved me wrong.

I avoided bone folders for years, feeling they were unnecessary. Then, I used one on a journal I was creating as a gift. The creases came out so sharp and professional looking! That small win completely flipped my view. Now I tell all my binding buddies to try it too!

Tried scoring paper with a butter knife for ages. Creases were always wobbly. Switched to a proper scoring tool and it was like night and day. Now I keep one on my desk for every card project. Funny how the right cheap tool fixes what you struggled with for years.

Totally get that (my first folds were a mess without one). Keeping the bone folder clean and using a ruler as extra weight makes those crisp lines even better. @dianaw89 has it right about the small stuff, it really is the difference between a homemade look and a pro finish.

Classic case of underestimating the small stuff.
