Caught a guy at the library printing out AI-generated travel guides and selling them at the bus station

I sat next to this guy at the downtown library last Thursday. He had 3 printers going nonstop. Turns out he uses ChatGPT to write "local secrets" guides for random cities, prints them on cheap paper, staples them together, and sells them for $5 each at the Greyhound station. Said he made $180 in one weekend. Half the tips were made up like "ask for Bob at the diner" but Bob doesn't exist. Has anyone else seen this kind of hustle popping up?

Have you seen these guys at the bus station near the mall too? I bought one of those guides for Chicago and it told me to visit a "hidden taco stand" that was just someone's garage. The whole thing is so sketchy but honestly kind of genius for how little effort it takes.

My friend actually tried to find a "speakeasy bakery" from one of those and ended up in some guy's basement eating stale croissants while he tried to sell her candles. She still talks about it like it was a wild adventure though haha.
