Took me 4 tries to finish The Bear but glad I stuck with it
I kept starting The Bear at my buddy's place in Austin and falling asleep around episode 3 because the yelling stressed me out. Then last month I gave it one more shot at 2am when I couldn't sleep and something clicked. Has anyone else had a show that took multiple attempts before you finally got into it?

3AM in a cold apartment with nothing else to watch was when it finally hit me too. I used to roll my eyes hard at people raving about this show, thought it was just anxiety porn about cooking. But that scene where they finally get the restaurant running smooth for one night then everything falls apart, that felt real. The chaos is the whole point, its about people who care so much they break. Did you have a specific episode where it clicked for you?

Ngl, I was in the exact same boat. I used to scroll past people talking about it thinking it was just some overhyped drama about food. But that episode where Richie breaks down during the family night, when he's trying so hard to make it perfect and it still goes wrong, that got me. The chaos is the whole point, you're right. It's not about the cooking, it's about people who put everything into something and still can't hold it together. That felt way too real.
