My brother told me to skip the first season of a show and I'm so glad I did
My brother is a huge TV buff and he told me to just start 'The 100' from season two. He said the first season is all teen drama and the real story kicks off later. I was skeptical, but after trying the pilot twice and getting bored, I took his advice. I jumped right into season two, and wow, he was totally right! The show got way more intense and interesting right away. I went back and watched season one after I finished the whole series, and it was a slog. If I had stuck with his original bad advice to 'power through' the slow start, I might have quit. Has anyone else had a show where skipping ahead made it way better for them?

Honestly I skipped a whole trilogy once. Got a spoiler that the main guy died and just noped out. My commitment issues are showing.
