Spent $120 on a torque wrench that clicked wrong... cost me a frame

Read a review on Garage Journal last week about a guy testing torque wrenches with a beam-style gauge. He found three popular digital models were off by 15% or more at lower settings. I wonder if that batch of wrenches was from a bad production run. A good beam-style wrench might be worth trying if you don't trust the click types anymore. That frame loss is a real shame, I feel for you.

Huh, never thought about it that way @henry_martinez, but maybe the real issue with digital ones is their calibration drifts faster than people realize. Could be why those beam-style gauges stay accurate longer even if they're a pain to read.
