This new tablet ordering thing at my diner is a total mess
I work at a local diner and we just got these tablets for customers to place orders. Sounds cool, right? But half the time they freeze up, and people get frustrated because they can't figure out how to customize their meals. Then I have to step in and explain it all over again, which takes twice as long as just taking the order myself. Management says it's to reduce errors, but we've had more mistakes since they were put in. Last week, a guy ordered a burger no onions, and the tablet sent it with extra onions. He was so mad, and I had to deal with it. Honestly, I think they bought the cheapest system possible without thinking about how it actually works in a busy place. It's just making my job harder, and customers aren't any happier.

Eh, it's just new tech stuff, they'll probably fix it soon anyway.

Sounds like the whole point of those tablets gets totally lost when they don't work right. It just sets up this cycle where the tech frustrates the customer, the employee has to fix it, and everyone wastes more time than the old way. Management probably saw a flashy demo and bought the system without testing it during a real lunch rush. Now you're stuck dealing with the fallout and it just makes the whole experience worse for everybody.
