Tried a pellet tube for cold smoking, got creosote instead of flavor
Lit it up with a torch last Tuesday like every video said, left it in my drum for 2 hours with some cheddar, and the cheese came out tasting like a licked ashtray. Anyone else swear by one brand of pellets over another, or is it mostly about airflow on the intake side?

Honestly airflow is most of it, but I used to blame pellets until my mesh tube fixed it.
