Clipper blade cleaning debate: soak in barbicide or just wipe down with alcohol?

I spent 45 minutes trying to get a seized blade apart on a Wahl Senior last week because the other barber just wiped it down with clipper oil instead of actually cleaning it between clients, so which method do you guys think is better for extending blade life between sharpening?

Heard a buddy lost TWO blades that way before he switched to barbicide soaks.

Three soaks in barbicide is the standard and Ive never had an edge issue.
