TIL that diner in Provo I raved about for years is now serving frozen Sysco food

I used to tell everyone the waffle house off University Ave was the best kept secret. Then I went back last week. They microwaved my eggs. The hash browns came out of a bag. I even saw them peel the plastic off a pre-made gravy cup. Has anyone else watched a favorite spot quietly go downhill like this?

Nah, you're probably just noticing it now because they finally got smart and streamlined. If the food still tastes decent and the price is fair, who really cares if it came out of a bag?

If the taste drops off even a little, that bag stuff is a total dealbreaker.

Are you sure it's the bag that's the problem or just a bad batch? I've had that happen with both bag and fresh stuff from the same place, so sometimes it's just luck. Try getting it from a different location next time and see if that fixes it before you write off the whole system.
