Unpopular opinion: The Room is actually a perfect movie for what it is

I rewatched The Room last weekend with a buddy who had never seen it. He spent the first 20 minutes trying to figure out the plot and getting frustrated. I told him to just let it wash over him like a weird fever dream. By the time the rooftop football scene happened, he was laughing so hard he choked on his soda. Everyone calls this movie a disaster because the acting is wooden and the story makes zero sense. But I think that's the whole point. It's like watching a car crash in slow motion where every decision is the wrong one. The real question is, how did Tommy Wiseau get $6 million to make this thing without anyone stopping him?

Wait Tommy Wiseau actually knew what he was doing the whole time? @robertgreen

Got a theory Tommy is the only one who actually understood what he was making.
