Serious question, did a picnic date change your mind too?
I used to think picnics were romantic and easy. Mine turned into a disaster with ants everywhere and spilled wine. We spent more time swatting bugs than talking. Now I see that indoor dates save a lot of hassle. Sometimes simple plans are better than trying to be cute.

Oh the spilled wine and ants. My last picnic looked like a bug buffet I set up just for them. Pretty sure the ants had a better date than we did. Now I stick to places with walls and floors that don't move.

Call me crazy, but your bug buffet story sounds like a sign of a great picnic. Those ants crashing the party just mean you're actually enjoying the outdoors, not cooped up inside. A little mess and some unexpected guests make the whole thing more fun and real to me. Who wants a perfect date when you can have a funny story? Don't you miss the fresh air and the silly moments?
