Serious question, has anyone had a Garmin GTN just freeze mid-flight?

I was flying into Burbank last Thursday, about 20 miles out, and my GTN 750 completely locked up on the approach screen... blank and unresponsive. I had to fall back to the old paper charts and VORs to get down safely. What do you usually do when the glass goes dark on you?

Paper charts never freeze up, that's for sure. Honestly though, the GTN 750 has a known bug with the approach screen where it'll hang if you hit the wrong button sequence. A full power cycle fixes it most times, but that's not much help at 20 miles out.

Yeah, that'll make you rethink the whole glass cockpit thing real fast.

Yeah the "rethink" part is doing some heavy lifting there. Pretty sure I'd be panic-swiping at a blank screen.
