Remember when you could just ask a question online and get a real answer?

I paid about $40 for a 'premium' account on a big Q&A site a few years back, thinking it would get my tech questions answered faster. It just put me in a different queue with the same vague, copy-pasted replies from people trying to farm points. I remember forums where someone would actually walk you through fixing your router step by step. Now it feels like you're just shouting into a void of SEO articles. Does anyone know a good place left for actual back-and-forth help?

I spent hours on Stack Overflow last week trying to fix a Python script. The top answer was from 2012 and the code just wouldn't run. I finally got help in a small Discord server for hobbyists. It feels like the real help moved to private groups when the big sites got gamed for points. Where do you even find those good communities now?

My Python Discord saved me last month.

Ever notice how the best help now is buried in old forum threads? (Like, you google a problem and the real fix is on page 3 from 2009.) The new stuff is all clutter.
