Just realized my grandma's attic find ties into a major Neolithic dig

Museums seem to forget that homes can have real archaeology. My family's old stuff is a small part of a big find up north.

Learned my friend's family used an ancient grinding stone as a garden ornament (no kidding). Archaeologists dated it to the same period as a nearby dig.

Wow, that's wild! My buddy's dad FOUND some arrowheads when they were digging a pool, turned out they were crazy old. Just sitting in his shed for years before anyone knew.

Man, that's wild! It makes you wonder how much old stuff is just sitting around in plain sight (like in gardens or sheds). I heard about someone using a really old stone bowl as a doorstop, turned out to be from a lost culture. Another family had what they thought was a weird rock in their yard, but it was actually a tool for making fire. That grinding stone story just shows how history can blend right into our everyday lives without us even knowing. Pretty mind blowing when you stop to think about it.
