Back in 2012, I had to pick between joining a forum for general anime chat or a super strict one just for debating.

I chose the debate forum, and while it made me analyze shows like 'Madoka Magica' way deeper (I wrote a 2,000-word post on its themes once), I kinda miss the chill, random conversations about favorite opening songs. Anyone else feel like super-focused discussion killed some of the fun?

Honestly, yeah. Tbh those super deep forums can suck the joy right out of just liking a thing. Sometimes you just wanna talk about the cool song.
