Hit 500 residential installs last month and stopped to think about it

I crossed 500 installs in mid-October on a routine job in a little ranch house outside Nashville. Didn't realize until I checked my logbook later that night. That number just kind of snuck up on me because I never really counted before. Anybody else ever hit a milestone like that and just pause to reflect?

Milestones are cool and all but I think the number itself gets overblown a lot. I've seen guys brag about hitting a thousand jobs but half of them were just swapping out trim pieces in new construction. The reflection part I get though. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather measure how many callbacks I didn't get or how many times I fixed something right the first time. Numbers like 500 don't mean much if the work was sloppy.

Heard a buddy say he hit 500 jobs and found out most were just swapping outlet covers.
