Vent: My agency referral pipeline just flatlined after a partner bailed
Last Tuesday I had a solid referral partner who'd been sending me web design leads for 6 months. Out of nowhere they stop responding and I find out they partnered with a bigger agency instead. No heads up, no goodbye, just silence. I lost 3 potential projects worth around $4k total. Has anyone else had a partner just ghost you like that without warning?

Right, because who needs loyalty when there's a bigger fish to chase, right? Classic move, they probably got promised a shiny new jet ski or something. So what's the move now, are you gonna cold pitch those lost leads or just let em rot?

6 months of steady referrals and they didn't even give me a heads up... that stung more than the lost money. I used to think partnerships were just business deals where you both win, but getting ghosted like that made me realize some people treat you as just a stepping stone. Now I'm way more careful about who I invest time in building a referral relationship with.
