Why does nobody talk about the trick with the old fountain in the Eastfield Galleria?
We spent an hour trying to find a way past a sealed service door near the old food court, until my friend remembered a maintenance map we saw online and realized the dry fountain basin connected to a lower-level stockroom. We crawled through the empty pipe chase and popped up right where we needed to be, saving us from having to turn back. Has anyone else found a weird architectural shortcut like that in a dead mall?

That bit about crawling through the empty pipe chase is so real. I got lost in the back halls of the old Valley View mall once and found a whole forgotten staircase behind a janitor's cart. It's wild what you can find when you just keep poking around.
