Spent $200 on a dehumidifier for my basement and it paid for itself in 2 months

I finally got sick of the musty smell in my rental duplex's basement and bought a Frigidaire 50-pint unit off Amazon. After running it for a month straight, the humidity dropped from 75% to 45% and the smell vanished. Plus my tenant stopped complaining about mildew on their stored boxes. Has anyone else noticed a big difference with these things in damp basements?

My last toilet repair took three trips to Home Depot so yeah I feel the pain.

Whoa three trips? That's brutal. I bet you were ready to just move out by the third visit. I've had those days where I go in thinking "this'll be a quick fix" and end up learning more about plumbing than I ever wanted to know. Last time I did a faucet swap I ended up calling my dad for help because I stripped a nut so bad. Hope your toilet is behaving itself now at least.
