Serious question, running after a fight with my sister keeps me sane...

I had a big blow-up with my younger sister over chores... and instead of stewing, I laced up my shoes. The first mile is always tough, but by the end, I can think straight again. It's like the rhythm of my steps sorts out my thoughts... and I come back ready to talk things out.

That part about the rhythm of your steps sorting out your thoughts is so true. My friend Jake had a huge screaming match with his brother over borrowing his car without asking. He was so mad he just ran out the door. He said he ran for like three miles just fuming, but then his brain just... cooled off. He came back and actually apologized for his part in it, which never happens.

My cousin ran angry once, broke his hand punching a wall.

Three miles is the magic reset button.
