How I learned to love credit cards despite the debt warnings
I mean, everyone says to avoid credit cards to prevent debt, but after setting up autopay and using them just for groceries, the points I earn now feel like free money, idk maybe it's just me.

When I set up autopay for my weekly grocery run, it totally changed my view on credit cards. I stick to using it for just food and gas, so the points feel like a little bonus each month. I make sure to review every charge though, because like john747 said, it's easy to miss a subscription. Seeing others manage it responsibly gives me hope that not all debt warnings are doom and gloom.

Honestly, setting up autopay is the only reason I haven't drowned in interest fees myself. I stick to one card for all my recurring bills and pay it off every month, so the points really do add up. Just make sure you're still checking statements because autopay can make you lazy about reviewing charges. It's way too easy to let a small subscription creep in and blow your budget. But yeah, used responsibly, credit cards are basically a discount on everything you buy, which is pretty sweet.

Yeah that autopay laziness is real, john747. I got hit with a double charge from my streaming service once because I wasn't looking. Now I put a reminder in my phone for the same day each month to open the app and scan the list. Takes two minutes and saved me from a sneaky price hike last quarter.
