Kpop comeback hype is getting ruined by instant social media drops...

I've been a Kpop fan for a while now... and the way we get news has shifted hard. Remember when teaser photos would drop one by one over weeks? Now it's just a flood of content on Twitter the second something is announced. Take Red Velvet's new comeback... all concept photos popped up online in an hour... no mystery left. It feels like companies rush to stay relevant, but it's killing the excitement. Fans used to guess and build hype together, but now it's over before it starts. I feel they need to slow down and make comebacks feel like real events again.

That Red Velvet example is perfect. Do you think companies see this fast drop as good for business numbers, or are they just scared of losing buzz?

Totally feel this, it turns the whole build up into just another content drop. Companies rush it out and it just becomes noise instead of an event. They'd get more talk if they spaced it out over a few days like the old way.

Calling it 'just another content drop' might not see the full picture. I see it differently because dropping all at once can actually build more hype right now. Like @the_jana wondered about buzz, getting everyone to talk at the same time often trends better online. Stretching it over days might let the conversation fade between posts. The rush makes it feel urgent and gets people clicking and sharing fast.
